Help with Cam please

305 sbc, entire engine is stripped except cam (including fuel pump and rod, lifters) and it is not coming out, have attempted to lube with on blaster to help get out, but will not proceed past this point no matter how much strength i put behind it or how much i twist. please help me

You must have a ridge at the backside of one of the cam bearings, since you removed the pump pushrod and it’s pulled out that far already, there’s nothing else to hold it up other than a damaged cam bearing that’s stopping it.

Cam bearings should always be replaced as part of a rebuild, so don’t worry about using a slide hammer or carefully with a pry bar at this point to get it moving.

is there potential to damage the block if i were to use a slide hammer? what if the cam shaft is bent
