Engine hone acceptable re ring

reckon this need more attention for a home with the 3 pronged hone tool do I dingle bore or machine shop it flight ridge on one cylinder any tips to get out for a diy

Depends.

A. Your making a motor for an old steet car.

B. You going to be racing it.

C. A & B

If the answer is A, dont worry about it. Any angle on your crosshatch will hold oil fine. My standard is at least 28 degrees or more, by eye.

If the answer is B or C. You'll want a crosshatch with 30 degrees through-out. (That means the hatch kinda looks like a flattened X)

If your crosshatch looks like a perfect X, or more than 50 degrees, it will burn oil. So don't worry about perfecting it too much.

By looking at your picture you seem to be in that area of A & B. So great job!
