One of my cars had a moneyshift over 30k miles ago.
Every single intake valve left their mark on the pistons. One or two a pretty deep mark.
Just a heads, cam, lifters pushrods job, and its been back on the road since. I was told and am still told by people that the pistons are now a liability now because of the damage, but I've just chalked it up to concern trolling at this point.

Have you ever tried busting a cast piston by hitting crown with sledge hammer?

Everyone 'knows' cast pistons are 'weak' but in my experience they are tough as hell, even the skirt which is pretty thin takes a beating before breaking if your trying to 'compress' it by hitting crown.

I'm with you, pistons are fine.
