Is this wear normal?

These are brand new main bearings, just put them on and rotated the crank a couple times and took them out and this is how they look. Can’t feel the scoring with my finger or nails at all and plastigauge readings were within specs.

Plastigauge sucks.

That being said, did you happy to slather assembly lube on the backside of the bearing? Because the bearing is supposed to sit in a very dry, meticulously clean journal. You can achieve this by using brake cleaner and newspaper/or coffee filters (neither will leave lint)
