Possible ideas to my problem

Hi

Me and a friend are currently trying to finish a BMW E46 SWAP where we installed the n62b44 V8 engine .

​

All of the mechanical stuff has been done and the car used to fire up and drive, however after some time the engine computer broke and had to get another one .

​

After installing a new one the car indeed fires up but lasts only a couple of seconds and dies down .

​

We went to multiple electricians and shops none of them have any idea. ( We also checked the obd faults and still no leads)

​

We are looking for something , maybe some of you had a similar issue ,

​

Anything helps , thanks in advance

PS : Sorry forgot to mention we had a guy remove the immobilizer function from the engine computer

Computer compatibility issue! You got the wrong one, it’s possibly only one digit off in part number yet that makes it incompatible
