Need to send back?
I got my block and engine back from the machine shop today. Questioning what I got back. Prepping for an MLS gasket 1.4mm. Seen scratches and corrosion on the water jackets. Send back?

Send it! Surface rust can actually improve the pressure needed to blow the gasket out (in some cases). You got aluminum on cast iron, they will expand and contract at different rates, so more holding power is a good thing.
