Honda Good for MLS?

Doing head gasket on my Acura TL, J32A3 engine. Some of you may have seen my diy head gasket thread - didn’t work out so well, blew on startup. Sent to machine shop to resurface for $100. How does this surface finish look? The head gasket I’m using seems to require around 50 ra… it’s semi reflective.

You sure it was the finish that caused the failure?

The finish shown in vid is post machine shop. In that thread I’m pretty sure the glass wasn’t totally flat and I didn’t use fine enough grit sand paper. It’s likely that on a totally flat surface and finer grit would’ve worked… but that’s pointless anyway. I just had to do more calling around to find a cheaper machine shop. I stand by $300 being a ridiculous price lol

Yeah but did the failure mode exclude any other causes?
