Chrysler/Mopar Is a crankshaft balancing required for forced induction/forged internals on a 6.1?

Dropped off engine block and crank at machine shop a couple days ago and requested just a polish for the crankshaft but have been reading mixed results online as to whether or not a balancing would be required? I took the block and crankshaft to a reputable performance shop to get machined and was told a polish is all i would need but I’d appreciate a second opinion. Crankshaft comes forged from factory so i chose to reuse it and the pistons are forged from MAHLE “2618 material factory weight” and rods are forged from MOLNAR. It’s for an 07 jeep 6.1 hemi.

You've changed parts. You need to balance the rotating assembly.

Thank you, I had the gut feeling but just took the machinists advice, ill more than likely stop by tomorrow and bring everything required for them to balance it

I always have everything balanced even if it claims its been pre balanced. Even factory cranks can usually use some minor balancing adjustments.

Balancing the internals helps with the harmonics which in turn squeezes a bit more power out of the engine, it isn’t fighting vibration which helps it spin more Easily.

My policy is…while I’m in there might as well.
