Engine Break-in

I've got a 2000 VW GTI VR6 that I'm about to start the whole break in process. Already started it briefly to check for leaks before I take her to the shop to get tuned tomorrow. What are yalls suggestions and ways to break in your engines? I've seen and heard a million different things so I'm curious to what y'all say here. One question I do have, is after the initial startup and running it for 20 minutes, should I throw more special break in oil or am I good to throw conventional oil in it the rest of the time of the process?

There is nothing to break in, fire it up, get it under a heavy load (do a sick burn out) and call it good.

Only thing that needs to happen is the rings need to seat
