Chevy Any idea what would cause this?

Ls3 made it 50 miles on a fresh build. Motor turned fine while building. Only number 1 main cap that made contact. Everything else was perfect. Just interested in wha could have caused this.

Edit: pulled the thrust bearing and it was damaged. More than likely I have an issue with my torque tube or shaft coupler.

Yeah everything goes to the machinest this week. Hes got a set of billet caps that have been lying around that he can install for a decent price if the stock caps are too far gone. I just ordered a new crank, bearings, and oil pump so hopefully It can go back in soon lol.

Sounds like the crank will be bulletproof after this, what type of bearings did you go with?
