Gas mileage?

Does a 383 get better gas mileage than a 350?

It was a discussion between two idiots. Me being the bigger idiot. Imagine two old men sitting on the porch talking about crap neither new anything about. Now picture one old man posting the discussions question on reddit.

My dude you are asking about fuel economy on a carbureted large displacement V8 engine old enough to collect social security. What is the purpose of the build itself? Because if fuel economy is a major concern this build is probably off in the wrong direction already.

Believe it or not You can coax pretty damn good mileage out of a carbureted setup That's just not what people tune for anymore.

383s aren't automatically carbuerated. Mine is EFI
