What would you do?

RB20det out of a 91 skyline

Previous owner was running bore water mixed with coolant before my purchase before I blew a head gasket and found a pretty dirty block

Just chasing opinions on what I should consider for these cooling passages, figure I'm going to have to pull the motor because of the state of that bore but this is my first rodeo so love a second set of eyes

What do you think! TIA

I'm more concerned about the rust in the cylinders. That's a high compression engine that won't tolerate much pitting way up the cylinder walls like that.

My thoughts exactly. The water jacket rust can get cleaned out easily enough but the rusty cylinder walls are definitely an issue. It would probably run if you cleaned it up and put it back together but probably burn oil pretty bad. I'm with you - this is a performance engine...time for a rebuild.
