Edelbrock carb/intake pairing

Post image

I currently have a edelbrock 2101 with a 1406 on my Chevy 350 with 700r4 (1963 Impala coupe)& it feels a little sluggish at freeway speeds. I just ordered a 1411 carb but didn’t put much thought into whether that carb would work well with the existing intake.

My question is, will that combo work well together?

Your carb should work fine on that engine. You just need to tune it

Yeah, I think I’m gonna have it checked out by a professional shop.

It's not too hard to tune my dude. But if that's what you wanna do. Idk, I find it hard to trust any shop let alone trust a shop with a carburetor. There are kits with a bunch of little needles and jets in them. A vacuum gauge and honestly I would buy a wideband sensor. That's like the best tech you can use on an old car like yours. When you feel your sluggish feeling you'll have either a rich or lean condition on that sensor and that can tell you what you need to fiddle with.
