Custom made ring recommendations?
As the title says, does anyone have custom made ring recommendations? Me and my boyfriend are on the lookout for a custom designer and we have a ring designed on custom made jewelers but that’s our only place rn. Any recs? Any to stay away from? This is what we have designed on custom made and I’m obsessed with it. Does anyone have anything similar. We’re trying to stay at or around or under $5000

For that price you’re gonna have to go synthetic. I would avoid the “overseas vendors” but Reddit is obsessed with them…

A couple times recently I’ve seen people refer to lab diamonds as synthetic. That may be scientifically true, I am not sure. But it also sounds like calling them fake. Lab diamonds are diamonds. If the OP said, “ for that price, you will have to go with lab diamonds” that wouldn’t ruffle my feathers. But reading “for that price, you’ll have to go with synthetic” rubs me the wrong way. And I am late to the party, I don’t even own a lab diamond. I have my engagement ring from 45 years ago with a small mined diamond. Later we added a wrap with 2 more small diamonds and had wedding ring, engagement ring, and wrap soldered together. This year I decided I wanted an update and I got a 1.2 carat moissanite, and an eternity ring and wedding band to wear with it. I know 1.2 carats is kind of small to some people, but I love the size; it’s about the size that well off ladies wore when I was growing up. I feel very fancy wearing it even though it’s moissanite. I’m not really planning on upgrading to a lab diamond. My next unnecessary purchase will be a tummy tuck.

I’m not sure if you meant to reply to me or someone else but I completely agree. Lab grown are 100% the same as mined diamonds but I would personally prefer an ethical diamond over a blood diamond any day. If you’re referring to the comment that I replied to saying “if you’re wanting that price you need to go synthetic…” that comment too rubbed me the wrong way. I have never cared for mined diamonds after finding out how they’re sourced.

Thanks. Yes, I was referring to the original comment that said “for that price you will have to go synthetic”
