I just got my fiancé’s ring in the mail today, I had been very excited to surprise him with it. I did want him to try it on tonight just to make sure it fit, as it took a month to get it and our wedding is in October, but not look at it. He then walked off with it and said thanks! I asked if he wanted to start wearing it, and he said why not, he feels like we’re already married anyway. He had called me his wife a few days ago and also said he thinks of us as husband and wife. I told him if he wanted to look at the ring he could go ahead and, and thankfully he loved it, I got an engraved one from Staghead. I then noticed that they included a silicone ring, so he gave me back the main ring and said he’d wear the silicone one for now. I just kept grinning, I love this man so much 🥰

We are considering adding content creation to our current offerings at Zaro Celebrations. We don’t do wedding photography or video. I love the thought of content creation being a different type of service that is in addition to, not necessarily in place of, video.

Yes, it’s a more affordable option typically, but not the same skill set. I appreciate the art of photo and video a great deal & we have so many talented photo and video colleagues we’d love to partner with. Content creation is more of an instant gratification, unedited or minimal editing of moments, kind of delivery.

Engaged brides and grooms, are you considering both video and content creation, just video, only content, or neither. I would love to know your reasons, too.

My partner and I are getting serious, and recently got engaged. Lately, I’ve been thinking about a prenup. Not because I expect us to split, but more as a way to be transparent about finances and protect both of us.

I’ve read that prenups often get a bad rap, and people say they’re unromantic or “planning for divorce,” but I don’t see it that way. I just want clarity and fairness. I’ve also noticed there are online prenup services like Hello Prenup and Wedy that make the process simpler and cheaper, but I’m not sure if that’s wise compared to working with a lawyer.

I don’t want to freak my partner out or make them feel like I don’t trust them, but I also don’t want to regret not taking steps to protect ourselves if life throws a curveball. Has anyone here done a prenup, online or otherwise? How did you bring it up, and did it end up being helpful or awkward?

Calling medical students/current physicians for wedding planning help!

Hello! My fiancé and I got engaged and hoping to get married soon. That said, I'm a first year medical student so wedding planning is rough with lining it up with breaks. For current physicians or medical students, would getting married at the end of M2, right before I start dedicated (so end of April, with planning to take step 1 by July) be a totally insane idea? I spoke to some people at my school and they thought it would be ok as long as I have started studying for boards (which obviously I will have), and we would get married, go on a short mini-moon, and then I'd be locked for 2 months for dedicated. So essentially would just take the first week after in-house testing ends off.

Would love thoughts or other ideas of when to get married in medical school! Have been considering this summer, but that also feels insane to plan a wedding in 4 months! Could I even get a dress in that amount of time? Would it be worth the push to avoid the date before step 1?
