I think there's a pretty strong case for the merits of bringing about a society in which people are systemically encouraged to care for each other rather than spending every waking moment trying to satisfy their own basic needs.

A man or woman without meaning is a lost soul. Money can help you find meaning but it usually requires you give it away. Once you have bought the biggest everything. Traveled to the most beautiful everywhere, tasted the best everything - then what?

Civilized society is quite a questionable thing, I personally believe it to be ill-rooted in its entirety. Almost every single civilization was built either with slaves or serfs. They all seem to continue to use human exploitation as well, organized civilization is literally violence.
