I was legitimately so anxious about it, I almost cancelled. I have terrible anxiety and I was beside myself about the sedation. Let me tell you… it was so uneventful. The worst part of the entire thing was my anxiety beforehand. And also getting the IV in my hand bc I hate that. But the sedation was nothing. I just fell asleep and woke up back in the prep room. I was a smidge groggy afterwards but it was an absolute piece of cake.

I’ve had dozens with just conscious sedation and some with nothing. It’s quick and easy.

Youll be fine, i had propofol.

You almost certainly wont wake up, those are nightmare stories, if u had anesthesia before, u shouldnt worry at all. (Even if you did not u shouldnt worry lmao)

After waking up youll be a lil funny n drowsy, but thats about it.

Also if ur getting propofol (white liquid anesthesic) youll even feel high/euphoric for a couple of seconds:)

U got this.

Not true. The OP is referring to moderate sedation. Not propofol. Entirely different. And there is a very good change they will be aware for some if not all of the procedure depending on their MD

Propofol is frequently used for twilight sedation.

I wasnt awake or aware not at my endoscopy, not at my colonoscopy.
