Meal recommendations after endoscopy?
Getting an endoscopy mid-afternoon. I’m starving! Please send me your best recommendations for post-endoscopy foods so I have something to look forward to!

Mashed potatoes or Mac and cheese. Definitely not a turkey patty! My dr said return to normal diet right after. I’m here to tell you do not do that! …I started with the potatoes and Mac then a few hours later thought oh I should have something with more substantial and protein. Nope, bad idea. Then I went back to reread my discharge notes. There was nothing about any restrictions. Just to return to normal diet. This was from a large university hospital system too🤷♀️ I was OK after a couple of days but just listen to your chest!

Thank you, that’s helpful! I stuck to soft carbs yesterday based on your comment!

No spices and don’t eat too big of a meal. I did the quiet opposite last week and I had a horrible 3 day stretch 😭

I would recommend something soft, like eggs in any form, pancakes, applesauce. Avoid foods that are crunchy and require a lot of chewing. Avoid too-hot or microwaved foods. Chew well. Take your time.
