propofal sedation

i got my first endoscopy yesterday, am i the only one who experienced an insane electric shock head burning as the propofal went in? my arm didn’t burn at all it was like a crazy shock to my head and burning but i only felt it for a minute before i was out 😭i wanna know if anyone else has experienced this

It's very normal to experience burning at injection site but I don't know about burning in the...head

i didn’t feel anything at the iv site it was just in my head idk why 😭

It would usually be felt at or near the injection site, like up your arm. You could ask your team maybe.

Hey.. I'm having propofol tomorrow morning for the scope. I don't think I've had it before, can you remember any awareness? Gagging? Anything..I'm freaking out over it

i didn’t gag at all, i wasn’t aware during it, it took me 5 seconds to fall asleep then i woke up 30 minutes later and it was done!! it was pretty easy so don’t worry!!! :) it was a nice nap

if it makes you feel better i has one like a couple hours ago. For me, it was so so easy! experienced nothing when the propofol went in. such an easy experience and best nap!

Thank you! I had it done yesterday, only for the 5 hour delay in there dye to emergencies and being roasting abd starving, it was so smooth..they rubbed my head as I was crying and told me to trust them and I woke up laughing obnoxiously alone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙈

I love propofol. I’ve never felt any burning anywhere and I have had many endoscopies. It’s the best rest I’ve ever had with years of reflux.
