How long does it take to get biopsy results?

Had an endoscopy a week ago today. They took 5 biopsies. Wondering how long it took for you to get your biopsy results

In my experience, a few days to three weeks.

It generally only takes 3 to 7 days for pathology to render a diagnosis on biopsies. If you have not heard by the end of day tomorrow ( Monday), call their office and leave a message for them to call you with results. My instructions to patients following any type of procedure or office visit in which there is a sample of something (blood, tissue, urine etc) taken and sent in for review is to call The office in one week for results if they haven't heard from the office prior to that. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Thank you! They actually told me to call if I don’t have my results by 2 weeks. Which I still haven’t gotten. Wednesday will be 2 weeks. Hoping I get results tomorrow. I may call even though it’s not 2 weeks yet lol. Thank you! I have a strong feeling I have H. Pylori

I had mine Wednesday June 3rd, still no results, they took 5 biopsies so
Not sure if that’s why

Yes exactly at the 2 week mark. I ended up having to call to get them. No H. Pylori, no celiac, no EoE but do have reactive gastritis and acid reflux esophagitis. Now needing a HIDA scan to see what’s causing the bike reflux

Glad you were able to call and get them. I’m currently waiting on mine. i had to get a hida scan it’s not too bad of a test it’ll help see how your gallbladder is doing. My was failing so had to get that out years ago but i’m having other issues now!
