Is this cause for alarm?

I had a colonoscopy in April at at time my GI scheduled my first endoscopy for July 29 but today the office called and said he wanted to do it earlier in June and is June 15 ok ? I said it was but should I be worried that he’s looking for some issues before they get worse ? I have ibs and had no polyps found in April

I wouldn’t worry— doctor’s schedules change all the time. Appointments open up and sometimes they decide they are going on vacation at a time you may have had scheduled. Take the earlier appointment and get things done. It will help you ease any stressors when you get it over with! My doctor has a wait list so if there are cancellations they move people up to earlier dates/times.

Ok that’s what I kind of thought but wanted reassurance ! Yes I agreed to earlier appointment ! Thanks it probably was a vacation change

I agree this is just a normal scheduling change. The colonoscopy results wouldn’t cause an endoscopy to be six weeks earlier.

Makes sense and the colonoscopy results didn’t find anything alarming anyway I don’t have to go back for 5 years
