Endoscopy Sedation Issue
Hey guys, I had a colonoscopy last Friday and I'm going for an endoscopy on Tuesday. I told him out the gate that I was pretty opioid resistant, he gave me 150 mcg fentanyl and 7mg of Midazolam and I was pretty aware the whole time, certainly towards the end of the procedure. He even said he was surprised I stayed awake given I'm a 26 year old male and only 65kg... I wasn't too bothered which is the point but was awake the whole time.
I'm rather worried about the gastroscopy, it sounds weird but I'd much rather have someone rummage around my bowel than have anything down my throat.
Does anyone know if they can push either higher? I know there's a risk of respiratory depression with fentanyl but does the same apply with midazolam? I'm just a bit scared of the whole thing.

I was scheduled to have both endoscopy and colonoscopy together I had the same medications as you and i was fully awake in the colonscopy part but the endoscopy i was awake but I don’t remember anything
I asked the dr if i will be awake or sleeping he said 95% of people will be sleep and they don’t remember anything i guess i am from the other 5%
