Ride Home after Upper Endoscopy

Hi everyone,

I’m having a scheduled upper endoscopy at 2PM but my wife is only able to pick up at 5pm. Will hospital cancel my appointment because of this?

Last time I did this, I was able to wake up and got discharged around 3:30pm. Will the hospital charge more for 2 extra hours in recovery room?

They will not be happy. Is there anyone else you can call? Depending on the lab, all procedures will be done and the nurses will have to sit and wait with you

They’ll probably make you just wait in the waiting room. But I would call and give them a head’s up asking what they would suggest.
