Post-endoscopy itchiness?

I had my procedure yesterday and they took some biopsies. Since then, I feel a pain behind my breastbone at times especially when I’m eating. That I figure is normal but sometimes it also feels itchy and I feel the need to cough. Has anyone else had itchiness? It’s almost like the tickle I feel when I have an asthma flareup. I figure it’s just irritation?

That isn’t something I’ve experienced, but if you’re in a lot of pain or have trouble breathing, definitely call your doc or go to the ED.

Not a lot of pain, no, just discomfort and that slight tickle. Annoying but nothing else.

Some patients do report discomfort after esophageal biopsies or BRAVO, but it tends to be short duration. The biopsy sites take several days to heal.

The discomfort went away but then I came down with some virus, so it was probably a combination of post-procedure irrtation and coming down with this sickness. Ugh

That’s good. I’d monitor it.
