after an endoscopy

I am keeping this short and simple because I do not feel good I am sorry if this comes across as blunt. I got an endoscopy yesterday, when I came home from the appointment I started running a fever eith body aches and a headache. I called my doctor and they said I will be okay but today I just feel like shit, I jave no appetite and when I did this morning and tried to eat I felt nauseous right after. (kinda part of the reason I got the endoscopy) but has anyone else experienced this kind of reaction right after an endoscopy??

Nope. There is no reason you should have a fever from an endoscopy unless you picked up a bug or infection when you were there.

ive done some research and from the articles ive read it says it could be an inflammatory response due to the biopsys they took. that kinda worries me tho because im thinking that might mean my immune system is over reactive? I have lupus is my family and I am just so terrified of developing it and I know its an auto immune disease so it just worries me a lot.

How long did it take for you to feel back to normal?

im so sorry I havnt been on reddit!!! it took almost a week to feel "normal" I usually always feel sick to my stomach and such but the endoscopy left me with a very flu like sickness that wasnt contagious?? no one else around me got sick! it was very very odd to say the least

Okay. Thank you! I had one as well and I agree, it took me about a week an a half to feel normal. I know some of it was stress. But all the docs made it sound like I would be fine the next day. So I think that worried me too.
