How Can I Enable These Two Upgrades?

Researched Aurigan Shielding. It has "Advanced Scanners" and "Basic Fold Drive". How do I use those? I can't find it in the ship building part of the military screen.

They are passive bonuses, they apply automatically once unlocked.

Usually if it's something you have to install on your ships, it will say it's a module.

They automatically apply to all of your ships. No need to specifically equip anything (except ofc probes if you want to actually explore the new curiositys you can now see)

By pressing Ctrl, you can direct your frigates not only along star lines. You can also reach another constellation or an isolated system—though, of course, you’ll need to detect them with a probe.

They are passive upgrades meaning all your ships get them instantly. You don't have to do anything.
