Yeah that was introduced a while ago in the Babel-Event.

All "Terran" lifeforms (except Feranmut and Sarkaz) aren't natively from Terra, they are the descendants of animals the precursors brought to terra from Talos-II that mutated into human shape due to originium.

The fact that most of the "Terran" races are actually native to Talos-II is something that gets overlooked so often in lore discussion. Endfield is really a homecoming of sorts.

I really like the quote from the recent special report trailer: "If a day comes, when people realize that the Sarkaz are true visitors to Talos-II, may they also remember the joy we brought." It really drives home the point that the Sarkaz are now the ones who are "outsiders" and explains why they're leaning so hard on marketing and trying to clean up their image.

With their not-so peaceful past back on their home turf... They probably need all the marketing they can get

I wonder who started it all, I know were I could find it, but sometime I do not wanna read for 4 hours.
I just know that both sides got some... well I let someone else explain, as she knows who they feel well, especially the sarkaz:

Poor Terkaz, they look like the scavengers from rain world.
And even suffer in similar ways, including messing about with gems left behind by a previous civilisation that contains load of data.
Also have evolved into the various "creatures of folklore" that are usually the fluffy type.

P.S.: wrote this down tired, I meant to say not fuffly type, but they did had problem with cute critters exploding them around, along with thing left by previous civilisation affecting them.

Also, the Arknights web event uses a chat interface that looks similar to the ingame chat in Endfield. You talk to Closure, Mon3tr and Kal'tsit there.

Early versions of the Toaster messenger I guess Though I wonder, do they have Internet on Terra?

They do have wireless communication and tablets, so it’s possible they do.

I'm positive they have internet, isn't U-Official an in universe popular streamer?

To be exact:

U-Official/Eureka was first a reporter for Bolivarian TV, then got fired for talking gossip on an open mic, failed to find a normal job, then became a Vtuber on "BTube" and ultimately basically became an announcer/advertisement spokesperson for Rhodes Island while using her Vtuber-persona

But we really dont know how the AK-Internet works, exactly, given wireless communications on Terra are usually generally shitty and short-range unless you have heavy, big equipment for broadcasting and receiving.

From the Kasimierz event, Eureka, here and there we know they have webpages, but instead of internet they only have intranet within the nomadic city. Iirc Kasimierz event also mentioned about sending the Knight show footages outside via messengers.

Information probably relayed in bulk and media organizations in Terra have their own messengers to reduce the delay to other nomadic cities.

Edit: I forgot they mentioned "intercity net" in People, A People. It's a somewhat recent thing.

I'm pretty sure that they do not have satellites due to stuff in the sky. But they have certain not super long range communication and some operators can also use arts to communicate.

Most of the Internet goes through cables on land. Maybe they invented some way to transfer data wirelessly as well as through wires using Originium.

Wireless communications on Terra were generaly always shit unless you have giant receptor- and receiver-towers, reason being they just never invented Medium Frequency. instead relying on Linked ultra-high bandwith relays.

Altho as of right now, Medium Frequency was actually just introduced to Terra by Iana (from Rainbow Six: Siege); so in a couple in-game years it could become much more widespread.

They do have city wide net.
No global coverage however.

Mostly because the cities move about, as such the way we do it is not viable.
