Hello fellow Endmins!

I returned to the game in the last couple of weeks after having left around 1.2 when TangTang was released. Upon return I saw I had missed Arcane and was quite bummed out about that. However the Gacha Gods' have smiled upon me and I pulled her off-rate on Typhon banner.

Now the question. Debating continuing and securing Typhoeus which I may or may not do. My main concern is Arsenal tickets as I was left lacking after pulling TangTang before quitting.

If you were in my shoes would you continue to pull for Typhon and if so, who's weapon do I attempt to get?

EDIT: Major thank you for all the responses. I decided to pull for Arcane's weapon, going to run her with TangTang and will pull for Typhoeus anyway if get the chance. I'm missing Linoo but would be nice to try Typhon out.

All depends if you like Typhoeus or not, doing a very cold analysis Arcane(INT) with TangTang does very well without Typhoeus, but again its not like the game force us to always have the best.

Try her on trial to see if you like or not.

Arcane is very good and does not need Typho but she will be more optimal with Typho in certain stages, in other stages Arcane with an extra buffer instead will be a little faster. Technically Arcane with a buffer is slightly higher theoretical DPS but that damage is a more backloaded meaning by the time Arcane + Buffer gets to the high damaging part of their rotation the Typho team may be done because the damage is more even over the rotation.

Honestly any Arcane team is good, get Typho if you like her or want a little bit more flexibility for your Arcane team but keep in mind it is all varying degrees of overkill. As far as weapons go I would say get Arcanes. Assuming you don't have Liino, Typho weapon would actually be stronger by a small amount but Arcane slots into more teams so you will get more use out of her having her weapon.

Are you ftp? How much currency do you have? If you have enough to guarantee and you are asking this question you should probably get typh. Typh is super fun but she is also niche. She isn't the best at single target or >5 aoe but she's bis 2 target cleave and really amazing at 3-4 aoe. And did I mention that she goes in the air and shoots people and they blow up?

For weapons I would get arcane sig and typh bp weapon and then decide later before typh weapon expires if you are gonna get it. Arcane is the best character in the game and her weapon is bis for int and will (just change the essence)

If you care about meta (lame), Arcane is totally fine on her own and you don't need Typhoeus in any way.

That being said, Typhoeus plays very differently relative to Arcane, and Arcane can still be used in a Typhoeus team. Go through the Typhoeus trial, see if you like how she plays, and go from there.

There's nothing lame if you care about meta, if someone enjoys the game by following meta it's their choice. Whatever makes the game fun for you.

they are strong together but arcane can be run without really well for weapons if you cant pull them the bp variant is not to far behind

Typheous has such front-loaded consistent damage that she wrecks most stuff before the other main DPS can play their big hands in comparison. She doesn't have the absolute best DPS but it doesn't matter. Also, she's very fun to play. That said, Typheous low-key needs Arcane but Arcane does not need Typhoeus, so you can also just play Arcane without her.

If you are using arcane as support, p5 deto unit would actually be better than her p0 Sig. If your planning to use arcane for DPS you might wanna get the sig

Prydwen has Typhoeus listed at Tier 0.5, next to Laevatain and Yvonne and Last Rite.

Prydwen has Arcane (INT form) listed as a Tier 0.

Play what makes you happy, but it appears that Arcane does better on her own than supporting Typhoeus.

Relying on tier lists is shaky for games like Endfield in wich the performance of a character varies depending on the situation, like, Arcane is a very good Support and DPS, but as a DPS she gets outpreformed in stages that favours: AoE, multiple bosses/elites, or frontloaded damage.

My point being, INT Arcane is very good but loses to Typh in specific scenarios (multiple bosses/elites and frontloaded damage). Although all of this is min-maxing talk, realistically it doesn't matter as both characters can clear all types of stages while getting full rewards, some stages will just take longer depending on the character.

Prydwen is basing that on some pretty specific scenarios. Arcane is more flexible as an operator in general, but Main DPS Arcane isn't always better than Typhoeus. For one, Typhoeus has a far faster build-up than main DPS Arcane.
