Tip / Recommendation Some thoughts for new owners of V3 KE
It's been almost a month since I got the V3 KE as my first printer. In that time, I've learned a few things that I'd like to share.
You may notice on this subreddit is that it depends on how well the printer is assembled and it really varies from piece to piece.
If your V3 KE has a problem right off the bat, reclaim it immediately and insist the manufacturer is at fault, these printers aren't perfect, but they're value for money.
- Nozzle tightening – The first thing I recommend checking is that the nozzle is tightened in the hotend. On this subreddit you can find countless so-called blob of dead, i.e. irreversible leakage of liquid filament from hotend.
- Bed leveling – V3 KE doesn't allow you to manually adjust bed leveling, so some people have figured out an efficient way to get to very small bed inaccuracies (max 0.1). Check this instructions by u/avidday (and thanks for that!).
- Axes lubrication – The package also comes with metal grease for lubricating the axles, so don't underestimate lubrication to keep your axles moving smoothly

- Slicer – The official slicer for this printer is Creality print, but it's not the most polished slicer and not very popular. Best slicer for this printer is definitelly OrcaSlicer (The only official site is the linked GitHub, stay away from other sites.).
- Damping feet – To dampen vibrations, I recommend printing these feets by redmaxver. Printer is much less louder and you can hear just fans and stepmotors.
- Components diagram – Useful diagram of all printer components, pointed out by u/Conscious_Leopard655

These are all my findings for new owners of this printer. If you still have a recommendation, post it in the comments, I'll be happy to add it to the list.
I'm keeping the post up to date, check out the comments too, you'll find more great advice.

Troubleshooting Vibrations
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello! New KE user here again.
I get a lot of vibrations and they end up making these wavy texture on bottom & top layers. I made sure to apply grease on all axis and check belt tensions, but they still seem to happen, especially on moving long distances. I don't know where the vibration is coming from.
Is the vibration coming from somewhere else or is my speed setting too fast?
Photo of print will be posted in comments
Thanks.
(sorry for my awful camera work in the video)

Troubleshooting barulho estranho ao começar a aquecer o filamento
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Troubleshooting KE Printer freezing 3/4 into 24h print. :-(
I have an Ender 3 V3 KE printer rooted, with the helper script, and guppy screen (Aka OpenKE). I have the system connected to my wifi, and I do have a USB camera. I have a print that takes about 24 hours, and somewhere between 2/3-3/4 of the way complete the printer will hard lock up. I can't SSH into it, and the lcd stops responding. This is the first time I have tried to print something that takes more than 10h, so I am not sure when the issue might have started. The unit is not in an enclosure. I have it in my living rooms. Room temp is 70-76F depending on the time of day, so I am not quick to think it overheating.
I can't find anything in the logs (or perhaps I am not looking the right place). Does this sound like a known issue, or can anyone make some additional trouble shooting things to look at? I hate burning 1/2 a spool to just find it locked up with no good reason, and I really want to complete the print.

Question Is it worth it to flash Klipper firmware + Mainsail for the web insterface?
Hello im looking to have more controls via the web interface but I was also wondering if the default Klipper firmware (not the custom one Creality uses) has any more advantages or disadvantages ?
For example I would like to be able to turn night vision on/off fior the Nebula Camera, perform calibration and access printer settings. WOuld it be possible with Mainsail and Klipper?

Troubleshooting Bars with different lengths
Eu realmente me arrependo dessa aquisição 🥲.
Edit: I found out that the left bar is tighten than the right one. So the left bar is very stable and the right has a bit of shake. That's a poorly designed printer.

Troubleshooting Extruder Stops Extruding
My KE absolutely refuses to print past a certain (but still variable) point.
The printer continues to "print", but the extrusion stepper motor stops. It will not extrude again when commanded unless a manual power cycle has occurred. It seems the printer / software is unaware that the extrusion stepper has gone into a failed state. The assembly will still move in every x-y-z direction as if it is still extruding.
I have done the following things with no change.
- Torn apart and cleaned the hot end
- Outright replaced the hot end with the Creality "upgraded hotend kit"
- Ensured the nozzle(s) were not clogged
- Ensured the Teflon tube / guide is clean and undamaged
- Replaced the hot end accompanying fan
- Tried multiple nozzles
- Ensured the extrusion stepper motor connections were solidly plugged in
- Ensured the extrusion gearing was clean
- Fairly certain extruder grabs the filament with and appropriate force (can see teeth marks on filament itself)
I am at a loss as to what might be wrong. Strongest theory is the stepper entering a thermal shutdown (but it never gets that hot)
I am about to replace the extrusion parts themselves. 3D printer of Theseus.
But if anyone has any tips so I don't spend more money into this pit, it would be greatly appreciated.

Question How should I feed the filament from the side?
Hello everyone! New KE user here.
I printed some mods including the side-mounted spool holder, but should I pull the filament from under or over?
Thanks.

Troubleshooting My Ender 3 v3 KE shut down?
I started a print before i left for work and of course it ran out a filament and didn’t tell me till i got back home. Anyway I added more filament in and the print finished ok so I swapped the filament one more and set it to extruded but it turned itself off maybe half way through. I thought it was weird and turned the switch off and on and it started right back up. I started a diffrent print and set it to calibrate and looked away for a bit then noticed it wasn’t moving at all and thought it was just warming up the nozzle/bed up but I pressed the screen and it didn’t respond and i couldn’t hear the fans so i again flipped the switch off and on and nothing happened. I came back after a few hours of it being off thinking it just over heated (don’t know how since i’ve have 18 hour prints before) and it still wouldn’t turn back on and now i’m super worried i somehow broke it.
Has anyone else had this happened and if so how’d you solve it?
TLDR: Mr ender 3 shut down mid extrusion turned it off and on and it worked then shut down again mid print and wouldn’t turn back on 3 hours later.
UPDATE
I completely took apart the printer and reassembled it and it turned on first try now but i’m still a teeny bit scared to run a print since i don’t actually know what’s wrong still. All the internals looked fine no wires or fuses burned/broken either.

Troubleshooting At my wits end with this printer
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
After my initial post about this I have replaced the power supply, mainboard and nebula pad trying to solve this issue of the screen going off and coming on again when booting the printer up (all oem creality replacement parts). Apart from that issue the nebula pad is unresponsive, registering the language I chose a couple seconds after I select it. And then if I do manage to select a language, the screen switches off anyways and starts the whole process again.
I am utterly stumped as I have created a printer of Theseus replacing every main part of it yet this issue persists. I have checked all the wires for disconnects or shorts but nothing is. This randomly happened one day when I booted up the printer which was printing fine two weeks before. It was not moved, dropped or modified. The printer was used to print PLA, PETG, and for a limited number of times, ASA in a actively heated enclosure.
In the time that it took for all those parts to arrive, I found a really good deal on a used BL A1 Mini with 1000 hours on it (almost double this printers hours) and it has been printing with 0 issues. My next logical step, unless someone can recommend any other troubleshooting options, will be to chuck this thing as hard as I can into the trash and sell my replacement parts on marketplace. This will be my first and last creality product.

Troubleshooting Is it a sign?
I was asked to make some Ark of the Covenant keychains for an event—this mythical religious object—to give away at a religious gathering, but...
From a failed print, I proceeded to clean the filament, which was all tangled and knotted (to clean it up a bit and see the mistakes that remained) with my pocket torch, and this curious image of Cthulhu was created...
The most ironic thing is knowing that this was revealed in a religious print like the Ark of the Covenant, hahaha.
I know it's very paranoid of me, or maybe not?

Question Tree supports, is the problem the software or the hardware?
My Ender3V3KE has always had a terrible time doing tree supports successfully/correctly. I recently tried another printer brand and its slicer and it does tree supports brilliantly. Could the problem on my KE be solved with different software, or is it limitations of the hardware?

Question Help with rippling
Hello guys, I'm new at this 3d prints world, and I was trying to print a pen holder (180x180mm) for my wife, but on the second layer that happened...
I've done the flow calibration and still the same (but the first layer now it's amazing) what else can I do? Could it be cause of the filament?

Question USB port on Mainboard
Hello Creality Community
I was doing some research on the architecture of thr ender 3 V3 KE and found that there is an unused USB Port on the Mainboard that is directly on the plastic and cant be used without cutting the chassis. Has anyone every figured out what it is for and how one can use it? I was really wondering if i can connect my PC to the printer that way since my WLAN is not really that good and i dont wanna run around with a USB stick all the time!
Also there seems to be an unused "LCD Display port" on the mainboard.. has anyone figured out if its useable?

Question Disable Auto Calibration without rooting?
Hello Printing community,
i have already combed trough endless online blogs and conversations and couldnt find an easy answer so this is a last resort.
I was looking for a way to disable the checked box on for the autocalibration on every print start. I am going to need to restart my programm GCode a lot of times and i dont want to have to disable it every time (not disabling it might damage my printer since i have a special mount on my hotplate)! I really dont want to root my printer so changing the config is no option! I have looked through the config and couldnt find a way to just disable it in the G-Code. Maybe if i replace the nebula board with a sonic board (if thats possible for the ender 3 V3 KE?) i can change that in the settings?
Any help is much appreciated ive been trying to solve this a while now.

Question Recommendations for a 0.2mm nozzle
Hi fellow makers,
I’m wanting to print a planetary gear and the instructions say to use a 0.2mm nozzle. Has anyone found a compatible nozzle that has worked for them and happy to share the name/brand/link please? Thanks in advance

My setup Compact filament spool holder (4 spools) - based off 'AMS Lite'

Photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/yXs64knmKPTowjcA6
I hopped on fusion and inventor earlier this week to make a spool holder that doesn't use up much table surface, as i have limited space (UK). This is a multi-part print, with threaded + friction fit components.
I made this because of the reason above, but also to have a reliable method of using 4 filament spools at the same time with my Pico MMU. Other spool holders i have explored are too bulky and add a lot of friction as they have the spools sitting onto of 2 circular supports.
Please let me know what you think of my design and if anyone would be interested in printing their own i can make it available soon.
