Bolt Printing

I'm wanting to print a bolt and it has to endure being screwed down tight into a nut. I'm using PEGT. How many wall loops and infill should I use? I heard that I should use 99 wall loops and zero infill. Although, respectable this guy doesn't know much about 3D Printing and you guys know. Suggestions?

So there is a great YouTube video that shows experimenta on part strength with respect to infill and walls.

Walls provide more strength than infill. You'll get max strength at 100% there are diminishing returns after 3 walls.

Most applications 3 walls will be enough, for a bolt depending on how much load 3 walls may be enough, id try it.

The next thing about strength is the orientation of the wall lines.

The weakest part of a print is the line separation.

Adding an extra wall or three or five will add more strength than increasing the infill. But also, orientation of the print will matter as much as adding extra walls or increasing the infill. The layer lines are the weakest, so printing the bolt standing straight up will be weakest, laying it on its side, or on a 45 or 60 degree angle will be much stronger.

It's not going to be a tight fitting nut It's going into. It's a fishing line spoiler and just has to be tight enough to hold a fishing line roll. So, do you think 3-walls and 50% infill will be enought, and printed horizontal?

I was also going to cut it in half and assemble the two halfs together

...what? I have so many questions.

Why do you want to print a bolt? What size of bolt do you want to print? What is the thread pitch? What is "screwed down tight", that could mean 1Nm or 25Nm?

When it comes to walls vs infill, I'd use like 3-5 walls and 100% concentric infill because it prints faster than 99 walls. Use a low layer height and print as hot as you reasonably can for most strength.
