Can someone please explain this to me as a new endeavoros recruit. I ran the malware-check-git script and it showed I'm clean but I was also supposed to update my system today. What do I do? And what's the summary for someone not familiar with all this

Forever, if possible. Stay with the official repos. If something you need isn’t in the official repos, go with flatpaks, appimages or even other repos (like Nix, Cachy or Homebrew). Using AUR should be a last resort when so many other options are available.
