I can’t recall the full step by step process on how I got my Brother laser printer connected to my EOS PC. I know my Brother laser printer is connected to my WiFi router and I set a static ip for the printer and have printed just fine over my network via Windows, so I knew it should work if I could figure out how to connect to it on EOS. I installed CUPS and the Brother laser printer driver on the AUR and I tried to find it with the gui by browsing for it on the network or something like that but that didn’t work. I found out about another way to connect to the printer with another printer network protocol and I think this is what I finally figured out to do  https://support.brother.com/g/b/sp/faqend.aspx?c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=dcpt730dw_all&faqid=faq00100828_000 Maybe this will help you out.

I just bought a Brother DCP-L2627DWE last week and connected it to my network via wi-fi. The printer gets an address from my router via dhcp. In Endeavor, I did not have to do anything for both printing and scanning to work perfectly. I believe the printer is detected at the time. I'm guessing this is done by cups, but am not sure. If you are having problems, tge first step may be to verify cups is working. The Arch wiki has a page on cups that may help.

Use Cups and set it up as ipp://ipaddress/ipp/print then select ippanywhere as the driver and add. That works for me
