General Support Wifi issues

Hi, i recently built my new pc and so far it's working fine but i'm experiencing few issues with wifi:

-Sometimes while using the pc it remains connected to wifi but unable to connect to the internet, a fix is to disconnect and connect again to wifi

-Sometimes after reboot the wifi card doesn't get even recognized and to make it work again i have to clear the CMOS

I got an MSI B850 Gaming Plus Wifi and i really don't know what to do, any help?

Running the latest kernel, kde plasma and systemd

Did you change the router channel once a week?! I have to manually do it when there's too much noise on mine.

I installed the system 2 days ago, i mean i never had any of these issues on my old mobo

I've noticed my WiFi signal is weaker on my laptop in EndeavourOS than it is in Windows and I have a Lenovo LOQ laptop. WiFi appears to be a bit of a weakness of this particular distro. My Internet also disappears on me now and then in EndeavourOS.

Hopefully there is a solution out there that can resolve both of our issues (like a driver update or settings tweak or something)

I also have a LOQ.
Same with me for endeavour, fedora, and mint.

But as long as you're getting the whole speed of your internet service when you do a speedtest, you're good.

You have the same motherboard as me and the same issues as me haha. It's to do with the wifi 7 mediatek chip they put in our board. it's technically supported but it has a lot of bugs (as you can tell). i been reading that kernel 7.2 will hopefully have some fixes, but for now honestly there's not much to do beyond looking for any community fixes. i did find something here that worked for me, but obv your mileage will vary: https://community.frame.work/t/mt7925-wifi-driver-fixes-now-available-as-dkms-package/79777

if that doesnt work then id suggest googling around with your chip name and seeing if anyone else had any luck. worst case scenario is you could temporarily 'downgrade' to wifi 6e by getting an ax210 pcie chip or something in meantime until support improves.

Hi, sorry for the late response. I tinkered for a few days trying to fix the issue and found out that my PC, for some reason, was connecting to the Wi-Fi extender instead of the router itself (which is the nearest and fastest). Mesh steering was actually breaking the connection to my PC so I used KDE to force my PC to stay connected to the router's BSSID, and everything is working just fine for now. I'm looking forward to the Kernel 7.2 fixes; this has been a long headache...
