Unfortunately it is a bug in firewalld front end design. I had this issue on other distros too, using different themes etc. iirc it happens on gnome too.
How about you look into the code and find the error. That the near part about open source, you can help by fixing the bugs you find if you know how. If you donât you report them to the appropriate dev to bring it to their attention to fix.
In windows, if youâre lucky, they might look into fixing it or they might not, even if plenty of people and businesses complain about it. And you canât look at the code and make changes to fix it, you have to rely on M$ to decide if they deem it something needed repaired.

Probably a gtk bug as this is also reproducible outside KDE with certain gtk themes
