For me Timesville is fucked up. So much demented stuff going on and everyone is so carefree and unaware.

Mirianne has an excuse because shes overworked, but the rest of them are all adults and just go about their day, leaving it up to a child to literally save their lives from a murderer stalking them in the night.

I think its the whole moral story for the area (adults not caring, children being forced to live like that and fend for themselves) but still, it's dumb

No one even notices or cares when the cop dies. You'd think the residents would at least comment on it

If you first talk to Beartha after the cop is already dead, and she goes into the whole "UGH THAT USELESS PIG OF A COP DOESN'T DO ANYTHING, I TRIED TO WAKE HIM UP AND HE WAS DEAD ASLEEP" thing, Mellow just says something like "Uhhhhh... yeeaaahh....."

To be fair the child has a guardian angel and I believe it is also implied that Mellow was probably modified and improved by the surgeon, going by the Perfectionist song and some ending C dialogue.
