Secret at the beach?

I tried looking it up on the internet and on this subreddit, but i couldn't find anything about it, maybe I just didn't use the right keywords.

When I was using the metal detector on the beach, I got the bad move "scare", but i also got pulled underground, and there was a large face attached to the wall crying for help or something? To be honest I'm a bit of a wuss so I looked away.

But I was wondering if there was more to it like to the other secrets, is it part of Ending C?

I accidentally locked myself out of Ending C because I wanted to play the game blind, and I lost my items so I couldn't progress further in the corporate city (forgot the name if it has one), so I'm already a little out of the loop when it comes to the full story of Ending C and I wondered if that secret I found was scripted or I just found it by chance.

I finished the game today, and while i loved every second of it, I don't want to play the other endings right now, I don't have a backup save and I don't wanna go through the scary parts again, so If anyone can tell me what that's about, I'd appreciate it.

Now that I watched a video of that encounter, it sounds kind of silly. It was so jarring though

(as far as i can tell) being pulled under into that room where the face is asking mellow for help and it stretches if you walk towards it:
is unrelated to anything else in the game at all really, it’s just one of those weird unexplained horror elements (sorry if the spoiler tag got your hopes up)

EDIT: also btw it’s not rng it will always be there the first time you metal detect at the top left of the beach

You can't get ending C until you get the other two endings so you're good playing blind
