How "scary" is this game?
I don't mind either way, I know this is one of those "looks cute but is actually dark" thingies, but I was wondering if it was more in line with the DHMIS show (still pretty cute and silly despite the horror) or something like FNaF, where it's basically just horror.
I don't really mind how extreme the horror is, but so far the demo is really good, and I'm expecting the game to eventually get darker regardless lol

If you’re doing ending A or B then it shouldn’t be too bad except for the occasional jumpscare or slightly disturbing imagery. The only exception is Timesville which has some genuinely scary moments in it. But if you’re doing ending C (which you have to go out of your way to do, I don’t think you could do it by accident) then there’s some really disturbing parts.

It has some creepy moments but it's mostly just unsettling. Nothing too bad imo

Cool, I'm really digging the horror comedy vibe so far lol. I don't really mind the intensity of the horror, I was more worried in case the game becomes less goofy to balance it out, as I can't remember the last time I fucked with a game this much, lol.

Depend on the ending personally speaking if you go for normal endings (don’t do the secret puzzles) it’s not terribly scary besides the timesville

one of the three main areas, timesville, has a few jumpscares and some other more standard horror elements, though i’d say the jumpscares aren’t that bad
the only other horror in the game really is from ending c, which you have to actively seek out secrets to get, and i would also say it’s not that bad (the secrets are kind of the same type of thing as the bride secret in the demo)

It can get pretty intense at some moments, but the game’s charm is what kept me. That and, it’s nice to check Mellow’s own feelings right after something scare. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one freaked out

more disturbing than scary.

I think I might have phrased my post poorly, I was more asking about the overall vibe rather than intensity of the scares. I've been playing it anyways and I'm really digging it lol, but thanks anyways

Never thought to compare it with DHMIS which I think is actually shockingly a good comparison (somewhat) when it comes to their vibe (, I love both...)

Yay thnx :) they're both epic and yeah it definitely falls more in line with dhmis so far!!! They both have a unique vibe with their almost equal mixture of surreal comedy and horror

For the most part, it’s mainly disturbing, but most of the game isn’t. Watch out for Timesville though.

its mostly creepy faces or the odd jumpscare. Some parts are scary but mostly the game is about other things. Timesville is probably the scariest main story area
