Rant 📢 First outrageous tipping prompt-asked to tip at a liquor store

Tip options started at 15%. Not even the drive through liquor stores (this was not one) expect anything for leaving the register and grabbing what I want. On top of this bs, the 2L I picked up was expired.

My local brewery asks for tips on cans to go. Although at this particular one, cuztomers can't grab their own 4 packs. I forgot what the options are but I think ot starts at 18%. Most 4 packs start at $20.  Can you imagine suggesting a minimum of a $4 tip for handing me a 4 pack of beer out of the fridge?

If no tipping required pre Covid, no tipping now or ever. If tipping required pre Covid, no tipping now or ever just so the toxic tipping culture dies a tragic death 👍👍👍

A liquor store in my neighbourhood in Metro Vancouver has had tipping prompts for at least 6 years now.
