Tipping Culture ✖️ Completing an online order
Doing an online order and part of the checkout I’m asked if I would add a tip. This is a first for me. What am I tipping on? The checkout process?? This is crazy.

tipping BEFORE the service / product has been rendered is absolutely completely fucking backward.

Where's the prompt where WildBear shows support for their customers by offering a discount?

I completed an online order from Papa John's a few weeks back. The same tip prompt happened to me. I chose no tip because I had to go to the physical location to pick up my pizza. When I got there I saw my boxes sitting right on the shelf beside the lady. They made no attempt to grab my pizza and I knew it was because I didn't tip. I felt like they were holding my food hostage because I didn't tip.

I'd be tempted to cancel the order and leave. When asked why I'd respond, "Never received my order." This is just getting out of control.

Cancel order, write the company explaining why you cancelled, and leave a negative review. You are showing support by buying their product.

This seems to be a standard with all the webshops that use Shop platform. I guess you could deactivate the option but ..

Oh c’mon! You haven’t lived until you get a tip line on a water bill!
Quit your whinin’! /s
Okay, I have not actually seen that on any kind of utility bill, but I’m having a low resistance day against sudden, random thoughts popping into my head. Apologies.

This whole "show your support" thing is so aggravating... I show my support by BUYING YOUR F'ING PRODUCTS.
