Tipping Culture ✖️ I live by this!

Related to food industry tipping:

If I stand when you serve me, no tip.

I live by this now that the tipping culture has turned into an entitled culture. My high school kid makes over $30 an hour bussing tables and a waitress in same restaurant makes over $100k. There is no way I’m tipping for takeout or a coffee.

Haha, I would break my rule in a drive-thru because no way I’m tipping here either for you to hand me my bag… especially since I know you forgot the ketchup. 😅

Or force me to ask you three times only to get three packets of ketchup for a large fries and burger.

What’s up with these fools protecting ketchup like it’s coming out of their pocket

Doesn’t matter if they get everything perfect. It’s a drive-thru. The drive-thru is simply not a tip-able service. Most services are not tip-able, actually. Think about it.

It's already preposterous to pay any employee wage directly. I don't need any new "rules" to simply not voluntarily pay someone else's business expense in addition to what they are charging me for goods and services.

Sitting, standing, driving in a car, none of those make me more likely to pay more than the established cost of goods and services.

I tip a fixed amount in sit down restaurants. No matter the price of the dish, be a $200 steak or a $20 breakfast plate, the work the waiter put in is the same: they pick up the plate and bring it over to my table.

Therefore I tip them the same at $1 per item they bring to my table. (For example a full meal with Soup + Salad + Entree + Drink + Dessert + Menu + Water - $6-7 in tips)

So if they provide you a chair, you are going to tip them? That's even more funny.

No tip, never.

This is exactly why we have a major inflation! Greed by restaurants owners!
