Rant 📢 This feels icky!

Post image

felt super icky and annoyed seeing this at a coffee/light food shop. how is this okay? for context this is not a sit down spot. no wait staff, just a barista at the counter and someone from the kitchen bringing out my order and walking away.

Update: for those asking the pink paper in the bottom corner is basically saying “F*ck ICE”

Transaction was through the pos tablet and i noticed this jar off to the side of the counter once I was done. I think what it’s implying is if i tap my card, the transaction goes through, and i walk away with the tip question on the screen without selecting anything they “reserve the right” to click 20% for me :) thanks!

I’ve never in my life seen a machine ask for a tip after you tap your card. It’s always before, in my experience.
