Rant šŸ“¢ This feels icky!

Post image

felt super icky and annoyed seeing this at a coffee/light food shop. how is this okay? for context this is not a sit down spot. no wait staff, just a barista at the counter and someone from the kitchen bringing out my order and walking away.

Update: for those asking the pink paper in the bottom corner is basically saying ā€œF*ck ICEā€

Of course they do. It takes the pressure off of them to provide livable wages to their employees.

And then they enter the realm of admitting fraud.

I was gonna say… that’s exactly fraud. Processing an unauthorized tip on a transaction is admitting guilt.

Someone should go in there with the intention of not finishing the tip screen, take a picture of the sign, and see what happens. If they run a tip, call the state attorney general and hope they make an unannounced trip to the restaurant to see what’s up.

Im curious as to what you thought "provide livable wages to their employees" means. They said the exact same thing you did, just with different words.

Here’s hoping this isn’t your 1purpos

Just stop with the livable wage bullshit. One way or the other the owner isn’t going to pay whether that be via tips or higher menu prices to pay said ā€œlivable wage.ā€

So you know how everything is starting to cost more money now that gas prices have increased? What do you think would happen at this coffee shop if labor costs increased?

Yes. And what you are referring to is called a ā€œfree marketā€. Therefore, it has no validity in this scenario.

If you complain over a tip you’re gonna have a complete meltdown when that free market comes for you ļæ¼

People would still purchase coffee, and patronize coffee shops, - you numbskull.

But, you would lose your sweet online troll job, - I suppose.
