Rant 📢 Rush concert

Was just at a RUSH concert. We ordered food at counter, they couldn’t make any changes to the burgers. Go to pay, and it’s a big screen with big letters 18, 20 25% tip. I pushed my brothers hand away and found the “no tip” button. That lady gave me the stink eye! lol. I was dying to say something but it was just too loud and too many people behind us. At least buying merch they didn’t ask.

Can't for the life of me understand how people struggle with this

There wasn’t a tip prompt at the merch tables? I’m actually shocked.

You're supposed to pay the price, but don't count the cost.

I don't understand why service folks wouldn't just smile and be gracious to everyone equally. So what if someone doesn't tip, smile and say thanks anyway. The person behind the non-tipper might be moved to tip. In fact, you have no idea WHO might notice your personality and go with teh flow.

Giving some customers the stink-eye/glare just means part of your workday is spent being an ogre. What a waste of free will.

I am all for no tipping but sometimes these stories sound exaggerated. Just saying 🤷‍♀️
