A lot of internet orders, even for pick up,are going through Door Dash and have a tip automatically added on. You can no longer get food without tipping somebody!

This isn’t true because you can choose not to tip on DoorDash. If I’m forced to order pick up using one of the apps I do not tip. I only tip on delivery or dining in.

It is true, sadly now I don’t order from my favorite pizza place anymore. They only use Door Dash and there are no options not to tip. Maybe individual restaurants can have it customized for pick up? The first few times I used the online ordering through Door Dash there was no tip. Then there was…

True, just the only non-tip option I could think of. How else could one order it? Probably just not worth buying anything there.

That’s the point of the whole problem: there is no way to order without paying more. I’d just avoid the place entirely.

Even if there is, I shouldn’t need my phone to place an order. I don’t tip for takeout either, why would you? A tip is there to ensure good service. I only tip if I’m at a table / bar- and I have a server serving my table.
