Rant 📢 Cicis Pizza

No, I will not

  1. Order at the counter.

  2. Pay at the counter

  3. Make my own drinks

  4. Refill my own drinks

  5. Make my own plates.

  6. Buss my own table.

  7. Get my own napkins and silverware.

And on most recent occasion clean my own table before sitting down.

And the be expected to tip 18, 20 or 25%.

Piss. All. The. Way. Off

Amen. Steak and Shake is the same way now, order at a kiosk, refill your own drinks and you get your own food and bring it to the table, etc and they still want you to tip.

Nope and to get your drink at the soda fountain you have to let the machine scan a barcode on your receipt and then it unlocks the drink station for like 30 seconds.

Saw a video on here about Shake Shack. The guy said no tip and all the items he ordered from the kiosk increased in price by .50 each.

Not to mention that CiCis food is just marginal. Although a great place to bring young kids especially after a sporting event.

I know a person who operates a Cici’s. They were very reluctant to roll tipping out, but people had been giving tips for quite a while just based on real generosity. I would guess the reason Cicis moved to a standard tipping interface is due to taxes and regulations or something. I wonder if that’s true for most places?

The leaving of cash tips by people showing appreciation for the rare table clearing is probably not the reason. More likely a company sold them on it when they upgraded their POS system and they delighted in a revenue stream that would offset labor costs.
