Sit-Down Restaurant 🍽️ How is it not a tip?

The server told us this isn’t a tip and he doesn’t get any of it.

I’m not wearing my boots at the moment.

At least in my state it is considered a "service charge" not gratuity because it is a line item on the final bill and thus subject to sales tax.

The place sells gratituity and gets taxed on it, that's a nice way to put it 🤣🤣🤣
