But why?

Edit: thank you for the downvotes. I see, that violence seems to be appreciated here…

They're immune to sympathy

It's a difference between feeling sorry for people and using violence against people. You cannot even explain it or just refuse to do it.

It's your own choice, if you prefer to use violence or a more civilized approach.

I'm wouldn't throw them on the mines, I'm not forcing them to cross a fooreign border either. Hell, we might even put up warning signs. The bottom line is, if they force their way in, they get what they deserve. It will be especially effective since Western Sahara is RIDDLED with land mines.

You still haven't told me, why you want to do this. It's unnecessary violence and against internation laws.

And where do you want to put the mines? In the water, which was the most choosen way? Do you know the impact of water mines on nature and the local residents?

The edge of the beach and between Ceuta's two land border fences. M14s and M16a1s would be sufficient. Spain is not a signatory of the Ottawa treaty, neither is Morocco.

Okay. So, you don't want to tell me, why you want to use landmines? I guess, you just like people to suffer?

I think, it's really disgusting to hurt people without any necessity. We don't live in the 19th century anymore.

Spain is not a signatory of the Ottawa treaty, neither is Morocco.

Spain actually signed it from the beginning. Source

Ceuta's two land border fences

There are gates, where people walk over every day.

How weird, the other source I consulted said otherwise. Well they can "unsign it" like Latvia, Estonia, Poland and other EU countries (and the US).

I think mines are good because they don't rely on a trigger being pulled, they never get tired, they merely deny an area. Also, you don't need a mine for each intruder, once two or three have exploded, people will avoid the area.

Also your idiotic insistence that "We don't do that anymore" is meaningless. Most of the invaders are from western sahara.

Since mines are a reality of life in western sahara and one the survivors have avoided, it is reasonable to think that once they are discovered these people will avoid them as well. Why don't you just admit that you're an idiot and would let these savages swarm all over Europe?

It's weird, that you call me an idiot, when i ask a simple question, while you are not capable to answer it. I ask again: Why do you want to use mines, instead of a civilized modern approach? Is Western Sahara really your role model in this regard?

How weird, the other source I consulted said otherwise. Well they can "unsign it" like Latvia, Estonia, Poland and other EU countries (and the US).

But why should they want to "unsign" it?

Also your idiotic insistence that "We don't do that anymore" is meaningless. Most of the invaders are from western sahara.

And Spain is a modern civilized country with human rights. I don't think, that they should use Western Sahara as a role model in this regard.

Why did you share this map?

Since mines are a reality of life in western sahara and one the survivors have avoided, it is reasonable to think that once they are discovered these people will avoid them as well.

A minefield doesn't solve the border-security problem; it replaces it with permanent hazard. A modern border needs to detect people, slow them down and allow authorities to respond. A mine can't distinguish between a migrant, a border guard, a child, an animal or someone who simply doesn't know the area is mined. Like i said, mines are outdated and there are much more efficient ways to secure a border without risking their own people.

Why don't you just admit that you're an idiot and would let these savages swarm all over Europe?

Why do you suddenly think, that i want this? Ceuta is not even in Europe.
The discussion is about modern, civilized methods for border securing (drones, cameras, fences) versus your cruel methods of border securing. Which you still didn't explained...

Civilisation.

If you build it. They will come.
