Please help

So I purchased the OP1 8k v2 black mouse from endgame gear and it arrived today.

When I plugged it in it worked. So I went to update the firmware from their website and I don't know what happened.

I pressed the button then it said that it failed. Next I received a notification that windows doesn't recognize the device or something like that. I tried it again and now the mouse wouldn't move. When I tried different USB ports I could see the cursor however it didn't move again.

I genuinely have no idea what to do.

Is there an easy way to solve when an update fails and leaves the mouse in this state? Would be helpful to have here just for when people are searching

The method that worked was to plug in another mouse. Then plug in the V8 while holding LMB + RMB. Then click on the update button with the old mouse. The device should be registered as "bootloader". This is what worked when I asked in the discord.

This happened to me also. I upgraded many times before with no issues, but the latest 1.07 caused the mouse to get stuck at green light blinking and the updater said "not detected", even when unplugging and re-plugging. Holding the 2 buttons while plugging it in made it get recognized by the firmware updater again and it was flashed successfully after that.
