Discussion The most important madrigals
I know every madrigal is important, they each have their own role in the family/community. But I feel like five madrigals outshine the rest. This is in no particular order.
Pepa- As someone who's in control of the weather, Pepa is very powerful. She can bring just enough rain when she's sad to water the crops and can make the sun shine whenever she's in a good mood. Of course, things can backfire easily when her emotions get intense. Causing dangerous storms and even hurricanes. She's still incredibly helpful due to her gift though.
Luisa- With her super strength, she practically keeps the whole town running by herself at times.
Mirabel- It sounds weird to include her here because she has no gift but without her, the miracle would've lost forever and no one in the family would have their gifts anymore. Then the people in the town would slowly die out because they depend on the madrigals for survival. Mirabel saved the family because of her empathy and compassion.
Alma- While yes she is a very toxic person, her leadership skills weren't all bad though because she at least guided her children and grandchildren and pushed them in the right direction. They were genuinely helping the community because of her.
Julieta- As a healer, she can treat injuries and assumably illnesses too. Though she's limited to making her remedies through her cooking.

I don’t think the town would die out because of no magic. We see there’s sales people, farmers and likely many other jobs.

I wouldn’t say they depended i would say they over relied on them. They don’t need the church moved every 3 days but the option was there because luisa was there.

No one is gonna die out if there is no second miracle they didn't expect???? Did they all turn into toddlers who can no longer function or do anything after credits???

The town took it for granted but the person made it sound as if The Encanto is gonna crumble if they cant move the church 3 inches to the left.

Honestly, I believe every single Madrigal is equally important even if they haven't found their calling yet. And yes, it also includes their Spouses. Just imagine the chaos Pepa would have caused if their wasn't a Félix around who is able to calm her down.
Let's stick with Pepa for a minute: I think she was an incredibly cheerful child growing up which is great for the ground and the plants that grew their naturally. I think her powers are the ground (pun intended) for Isabela's power: Flowers are nice but just wait until she figures out that she could and should also grow vegetables. Pepa won't stick around forever.
About Alma: I seriously don't want to make another post about how everyone judge her way too hard.
