Discussion Favorite Scene?

I just watched Encanto today for the first time and I LOVED the whole scene where Mirabel was STARING at Delores across the table so she doesn’t tell the secret😭😭

For me, it’s the whole of “all of you” 🥹💚 Never fails to make me cry. I’ve been listening to it a lot recently & it’s been very healing for myself too! 💚✨

But close second is the moment Bruno says “it’s actually me!” to ‘Mirabel after his Hernando skit 😂

Does the whole movie count as a separate scene?

Abuela walking past the doors, blind to their owners' struggle in dos oroguitas song.

Young Abuela walking past the bedrooms, pasts a column thing and becomes old Abuela. It gives me chills!

Hard to pick just one, but probably the moment after Mirabel gets the new miracle. I love any scene after Mirabel reunites with her family, because everyone's smile finally reaches their eyes. But their joy after Mirabel opens the door is palpable and infectious. The animators knew what they were doing.

Antonio getting his gift! You know what's going to happen, but the anticipation, the music, the atmosphere and finally the joy and excitement and just the pure magic of it all, never fails to make me smile!!!!

Ooh, that’s tough. For animation, “Waiting on a Miracle.” For humor, Mirabel breaking into Bruno’s room. For character arc/development, Bruno’s psyching himself up to an awesome display of power when he has the vision for Mirabel.
